The Blue Boy had a great attitude and affirmation. Mama was Bluebird Hancock, a brown Roan by Apache Joe Hancock. His father was Mr. Roan Hancock, a Blue Roan stud who was rented by John & Marie Whipp from Gary Tarver in 1985. The Blue Boy was bankrupt to go horseback riding and was raised at the tender age of three.

He had 13 colts, 9 blue horses and 4 brown and 4 pink horses in 1990. Until he died in autumn 1998, he brought forth extraordinary horses. The Blue Boy was known for giving his temperature, exterior and colour to his offspring. and 25% brown and 25 percent black and white horses.

Most of his children were used for rope work, cattle raising, livestock programmes or more than one occupation. The Blue Boy has three offspring who were surpassed in the AQHA World Show arenas. In 1998, a 1994 bluerock sire named Timber Hawk Hancock qualifies for the Open Junior Heading and Tie-Down Rocking World Show.

In 1999 he also qualifies for the Open Junior Tie-Down Roping World Show. Currently Broken Bones has a Blue Boy named Pede Hancock Boy, whom they fought in 2003 and 2004. In 2003 Pede won the Open Junior Tie-Down Roping World Show, where he finished fifth. In the same year he reached the ninth place in Tie-Down Roping.

Pede qualifies for the AQHA World Show in Senior Tie-Down Roping, Senior Heading and Senior Heeling in 2004. His third offspring is a Blue Boys Drifter out of a Driftwood filly. The Blue Boys Drifter qualifies for the World Expo 2004 & 2005. 2004 he was 4. high junior heeling and 9. high point exploiter at Open Heeling.

The Blue Boy daughters and sons have distinguished themselves at all levels of the competition, be it a World Expo or just a single prize.
