There was a lot of thrill and expectation that the Bloodstock auction sales staff would go into the last count down on Tuesday evening. More than 63 single sellers who had already submitted a bid, a high interest and high volume of enquiries among the sellers and the member number of more than 900 members were all looking for a first auction procedure.
Quick technical response was able to return the website as senior managers decided to reset the auction by one full hour. As everything worked as usual, the auction approached the last few moments of the first batch when the servers went down as before. Without explaining the outcome, the managers made the hard but unavoidable choice of postponing the auction by 2-day.
Additional auction items will be reset to default on the first and third Tuesday of each calendar year. Still part of the auction, Sigmund joined Jeb's Boy and Supercoach as winning stallions since the catalog appeared. Experiences are something you win a few moments after you could have used them!
