When you have a lace top cap, this case has 2 zippers, so just put the cap in the case with the lace up, slide the zippers on both sides of the lace and it's safe (the lace itself stays outside the case).

Simply put your boot in the bags, tighten the top gag to fasten it and put it back in the side straps on the side of the case.
