The International Encyclopedia of Horse Breeds

One more book that takes a while to go through, but my first thoughts are listed below. Around 400 breeds from all over the globe make for an absolute fascination to reading. A small section is packed into a very small area by the writer, and most of them have images, although unfortunately they are monochrome.

Comprehensible, given the amount of information, but colour photographs would still have been a lot of pleasure. There' a small section with colour photographs, but it does leave more desire behind. At the end of the book there are a few pages (appendix) about horse by countries, which is quite interesting and allows a fast readability at a single time.

There is also an annex of stallions that are not listed.
