Horse Collar and Hames
Collar and HamesLength, fold the two squares[like the letter'C'] a few centimetres before the horse's withers, the bottom of the C being a few centimetres from the horse's breast, & the top of the C being a few centimetres before the withers[Guess where the collar will finally be on the horse's "collar bed" (from before the horse's to the top & before the points of the shoulder)];
Please be aware that you must also allow an additional space of two hands - at its rim - between the trachea of the horse and the inside of the neck of the collar; i.e. this space must be added to its size with the square. Somebody would have to help you to determine the gap between the inner top and bottom of your C] with a seperate control.
If you want to measure the draught-turn and neck-turn, you must perform this operation again by increasing the gap between the palm of your hands and these two readings.
