Riding Boots

Riding boots are indispensable equipment for every riding sport. Horse boots give horses a shiny look, but the major goal of any riding shoe is to support the horse's riding ability. Men's riding boots, women's riding boots and children's riding boots are available in two major types: paddocking boots and high boots.

This is a class that includes both outdoor boots and training boots. They all have a small step, usually about 1" high, to avoid a rider's foot slipping through crampons. The boots are available for three-season riding and in isolated, watertight designs for safety and convenience indoors.

Paddocking boots, sometimes also referred to as jodhpurs, can be made of full grained or imitation leathers. Real patdock boots are traditionally made of real paddocks, they breathe and are smooth after shrinkage. Imitation boots are particularly low-maintenance and budget-friendly. Men's riding boots, men's, women's and children's boots just above the ankles. There are some sweater boots in pull-on style.

Drivers over 12 years of age are frequently used in the British riding discipline to combine paddocking boots with leathers, suedes or synth... to recreate the feel and power of a high riding shoe. PADOCK BOAT and HALF CASE combination are particularly appreciated for training and chopping, but some drivers like to have the comforts, feel and cover of full buckskin or buckskin shirts.

Usually kids under 12 years old are wearing paddocking boots with breeches, a breeches with knees and sleeves that extend over the tips of the boots. These trousers are fastened under the young rider's foot with elastic belts that keep them from slipping up inside the shoe.

In the high riding boots class, horsemen select according to their disciplines. Military boots are the selection of huntsmen, horsemen and show jumper; training boots provide the necessary assistance for the sire. Today's outdoor and indoor boots are generally equipped with continuous zips for ease of dressing and undressing, but there are still conventional pull-on models in them.

High riding boots are mostly made of real cowhide but also available in imitation leathere. Stylistic characteristics are contours, Spanish top lines to extend the rider's legs, round or quadratic toes, toecaps, logos and even touch of extra show ring atmosphere in either color.

The boots are engineered to make the rider's knuckles softer and wrinkle to allow correct heel placement. Height of the droplet will depend on the smoothness of the skin and the shape of the boots. An army boots made of super-soft calf skin fall off more than a boots made of full grained skin.

Front lacing gives the driver the freedom to move the ankles and bend the feet; some innovative boots are now equipped with adjustable inserts in this area, eliminating the need for front lacing. Dress boots are made of stiff, fatter calfskin than boots for fields.

Do not fall or become as soft as boots in the fields, as a trained athlete has a longer posture that needs to be supported for subtile tools rather than the capacity to press the heel down. The majority of training boots also have a stiffening at the back to avoid that the boots fall down or crease at the ankles.

This stiffening means that many types of training boots have zips to the front and not to the back, where they are most commonly seen in boots. For the measurement of high riding boots use a flexible scale. If you are going to use trousers and stockings of the kind you are most likely to use with your boots, you should be sitting in a stool with a flat back.

You can use the fabric scale to find the girth of your lower leg at the broadest point; this is your boots width. In order to calculate your boots hight, take your measurements from the ground at the bottom of the ankle to the hollow of the thigh. To take a droplet for boots in the fields, you should include 1 1/2" to 2" in your altitude reading.

To make a moderate stiffness training boots, you should increase 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" to your tall. Here you will find a selection of riding boots for men, ladies and kids.
