Notice: In the United States an admission as a psychotherapist is necessary. 1 ) The specialist must have 6,000 working hour (equivalent to 3 years full employment ) practical horse work experiences. 2 ) The horse must have at least 100 consecutive training periods. Part of this training must cover subjects which encompass the following:

3 ) 40 lessons of the training specified in No. 2 must have been successfully concluded in the last 2 years.

Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy Training (EFPL) Certificate - What is it? Increasing interest in Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy and Equine-Facilitated Learning is leading to greater demands for EFPL Facility Training programmes. The programmes differ in their emphasis and methods, so that it is a very personal decision which programmes suit the student's level of proficiency and his/her particular work objectives.

The training programme that best suits you will depend on the kind of work you want to specialise in. Choosing a training programme is an important step towards your success because EFP and EFL are sophisticated procedures that demand an enormous amount of human and horse expertise. Several training programmes, such as HEAL and others, provide final certificates.

Certificates of this kind represent the satisfying fulfilment of specified needs for this programme. The length of the programme and the degree required varies from programme to programme. However, such accreditation should not be misinterpreted as complying with an impartial EFPL reference nor should it be mistaken for a jurisdictional request. Every programme has its own set of rules which can be examined for their own advantages.

Until today, there is no separate accreditation demanded by a judicial authority to practise EFP or UL. Persons providing psychological therapy or therapy (with or without horses) must, however, have adequate qualifications and be juridically competent to practise in their state or other jurisdictions. It is only correctly trained psychotherapists who can call their ministries Equine-Facilitated (or Assisted) Psychotherapy.

EFPL's Certification Body for Horse Interaction Professionals (www.cbeip. org) is the only independently owned body that certifies EFPL practicians through "competency-based" tests. CBEIP is autonomous in the sense that the CBEIP is not part of any other certification organisation (i.e. it does not sell EFPL training itself).

Computer-assisted testing is intended for either psychiatric healthcare (MH) or educational (ED) use. It only certifies the psychiatric vendors and pedagogues who perform EFPL (see section "Roles in EFPL" below). While EFPL may not require EFPL accreditation to hold a pebble, the most conscientious practitioner believes in constantly improving their abilities, connecting and relearning from other practices, and participating in the intercession and growing that membership in different EFPL organisations offers.

Not every apprenticeship "makes" a good practical person, but conscientious, energetic healthcare service provider and teacher keep pace with the fascinating development in their area. The EFPL should demonstrate the kind of training and instruction that ensures ethics with customers, safety and responsibility in riding, and insights into the topics that EFPL could raise for particular groups or customers.

The therapist's experience is based on a therapy schedule designed for a particular customer and aimed at resolving the problem. It is a copyrighted concept that can only be used by persons who have the training and licence to practise in their state. Psychotherapists can be social workers, psychologists, counsellors as well as marriage and family psychotherapists.

Psychotherapists are psychotherapists who have been instructed in the evaluation and management of psychological disturbances according to the DSM-IV and are obliged to keep up-to-date knowledge in the sphere of psychological heath. A number have official certifications such as a higher diploma and a training diploma. Teachers develop and accompany individual or group learners on the basis of principals that have proved themselves appropriate for the group.

Examples include some pedagogues offering programmes for high-risk youngsters, others offering team-building programmes to business customers, and others training individuals in ALP. Equestrian experts assist the therapeutic or educational person with the realisation of the programmes and activities. EFPL horse experts treat and maintain a horse, interpreting the horse's behaviour and bearing the main responsability for the security and fitness of the horse and its surroundings.

Equine professionals should have many years of sound equine working practice with a wide variety of different equines and have a comprehensive understanding of and expertise in horse handling, even under exceptional conditions. Our teachers have many years of horse training and have references and experiences in horse training. They can prove their competence and refinement in working with different types of horse, with different temperaments and origins.

Equestrian teachers can also offer EFL, in this case to improve the standard of a person's equestrian art. Every roll calls for different training, and for each roll the required capabilities take an amount of work, dedication and training. Every roll has different requirements in relation to training, preparations and certification options at different companies.

A few individuals are qualified and certificated for double role training; some performers work in a collaborative environment to ensure a balanced and good cover of the role (e.g. a trainer in a collaborative environment with a horse specialist). Clearly, some schemes (EAGALA) and some intervention (group events) require a practice unit to demonstrate a proper equilibrium between equine and clinician aptitude.
