OPC (Ocean Protection Council) is pleased to present its new corporate name. The new look will fit better with what OPC has been since 2004: a leading provider of marine and marine conservation in California, national and international. Created by Los Angeles based freelancer and entertainer Women's Frye Sacha Moto Black Shootie RqXqTB, the work is an abstraction of the Californian coastline and oceans, reminiscent of images of wave, reflection, kelp forests, and the link between lands and seas.

The Taylor Beldy is a Los Angeles, California-based graphic and animation group. Collaborating with the California Ocean Protection Council to re-invent its own corporate identities has consolidated its key notion that designing works best when influenced by different context, opinion, and subject matter. In the future, Mr. Beldy plans to work with pollution control groups, academics, lobbyists and legislators across California to create a range of materials and equipment that will cover the full range of our planet's environment problems.

Over the weekend you can find Mr Beldy who explores the Californian coast, takes photos or works on a new one. California' OPC hires a Senior Environmental Scientist to head the Marine Protected Area (MPA) program. Initiate and advise on changes in the laws and regulations and policies of the State and the Confederation to the Governor and the legislature; and 4) Assign and implement assigned loan and other dedicated funding instruments in a way that is open and consistent with OPC priority.

SEN will be in charge of managing OPC's MPA Leadership Programme issues, which will include public relations and training, research and supervision, regulatory affairs and implementation, and policies and approvals, in cooperation with OPC's other MPA Programme employees and outside parties. He will also lead the financing effort, which will focus on the marine reserves, in consultation with OPC personnel, government authorities, community leaders, researchers, non-profit organizations and other components.

If required, the senior environmental scientist will also make available supplementary organisational assistance and capacities. Candidates should have sound knowledge of California coast and marine affairs and interest groups, be experienced in working on and/or researching California or elsewhere related project and/or MPA-related research, and have outstanding writing and oral communications abilities.

In order to accelerate efforts to include California's network of sea conservation areas in the International Union for Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) Green List, IUCN has chosen members of the Expert Assessment Group for the Green List (EAGL). Coming from a highly skilled talent bank, these 17 persons are representing California interests in a variety of fields, including: environmental sciences, social sciences, economy and leadership, public relations and literacy, maritime economy and travel, California tribes and tribal governments, professional and leisure fishing, civic science, aquariums and non-governmental organisations.

California has established a novel and cost-effective Maritime Protection Area Surveillance Programme (MPA) to assist in assessing the advancement of the MPA ecosystem in achieving the objectives of the Maritime Life Protection Act. Since 2016, financing for the long-term observation of Stage 2 has retained or extended the geographical coverage of ecosystem survey coverage in a number of areas, preserved the CDFW's ability to gather information through upgrading facilities, strengthened collaboration between scientists and managers, and helped develop the new California Open Date Portal (https://data.cnra.ca.gov/).

The OPC and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife are inviting you to check the action plan design and give your own personal response. Being a member of the California Marine Association, your contribution is crucial to achieving equitable and efficient MPAM. Many thanks for your patience and your continuing commitment to the California Marine Protected Area Network.
