Ever wanted to have the definite evidence that the family tree of your Art Horse is accurate, as stated on the registration certificate? That is, the genetics of a horse's conformation are contained in it. The micro-satellite marker is the foundation for personalization, which is helpful in ancestry testing. In the following cases, however, it is necessary to carry out genotyping or lineage testing:

Each stallion used for stud must have a specific genotype before progeny can be recorded. From January 1, 2017, all of our colts must have genetic health panel results (HYPP, HERDA, GBED, MH, PSSM1, OLWS) before the fillies born from their breed in 2018 can be recorded.

The ancestry of a foal originating from sperm or frostbitten sperm must be checked. The pedigree of a foal originating from an Embryo, a glassed-on Embryo or an egg must be checked. Race horses must be checked for pedigree before tattooing. It' important to preempt the need for a pedigree test.

In general, the father has genetic material on record, but often not the mother. When the embankment is dying or cannot be located before the test, a lineage test is not possible, which could stop or retard the test. Nearly immediately after the horse's deaths, a test of the coat is no longer vital.

It is therefore advisable to take a specimen of an old or sick pet. There is no limit to the number of specimens in one cover. To test a filly that has not yet been licensed, you must first request enrollment and tick the appropriate checkbox on the enrollment request form that requests the genetic blue.

If you get your genetic material in the post, it is important to check that the information on the genetic material is the same as the horse you are test. The name and number of a horse will appear on the construction set. If you are running several tests at the same test, it is important to complete a horse before you move on to the next horse to prevent mishaps.

A lot of pedigree exclusion in the lab is due to these defects and there may be extra repeat charges. We recommend that you use male coat for the collection of sample ballots unless you are trying a filly under 6 month that needs cockcoat. A young horse's coat of manes is very thin, which breaks off the root.

For the sampling of cock-hairs, the best and simplest way to obtain them is to use the shorter ones near the cockbody. It is best if you try to get the whole specimen at once. For the horse, this process is very stress-free. Only the non-rooting end of long coat can be cut.

Poor quality results cause a new specimen, which delays the procedure. When you have identified a horse (i.e. a stud to be used for breeding) with DNA, a postcard will be sent to the holder of the data set containing the number of the case. When a pedigree check has been applied for, we will draw up (or reissue) the pedigree check and a pedigree check badge will be available.

How about the HYPP test, exaggerated deadly whites, etc? Genetic Health Panel Test contains the analysis for HYPP, HERDA, GBED, MH, PSSM1 and OLWS. Note that this does not involve the amount of gel you need to send the laboratory the samples.
