The Star Wars is an US based US based aerospace operatic medias franchise that focuses on a George Lucas based movie collection that features Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, and Return of the Jedi in 1983. It shows the adventure of different character "long ago in a long way, far, far away galaxy".

Large numbers of derived Star Wars works were created in connection with, between, and after the initial movie and installment triilogy. The works of Star Wars Legends were previously organised around an inuniversal time line built around the Battle of Yavin from the 1977 Star Wars, which refers to years before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) or after the Battle of Yavin (ABY).
